The Solar Jobs Act (ESSB 5939) became law in July 2017, to spur more solar investments across Washington State. New research by Western Washington University’s Center for Economic & Business Research and the Solar Installers of Washington details the economic impact of the law for Washington State. In 2018 the law helped bring in approximately $2.2 billion in funding for the state overall. It is clear that solar means business and is a great investment for the state of Washington. You can reference this downloadable Economic Impact table for more information and this summary of the original 2017 Solar Jobs Bill.
