The Solar Jobs Bill (HB 1048 / SB 5499) is making progress through the Legislature, thanks entirely to your hard work communicating with your legislators.
The Legislature’s regular session for 2017 is scheduled to end this week, but they’ll be calling a “special session” immediately following. We don’t know how long the special session will take, but it will most likely to go through late June. The Solar Jobs Bill (HB 1048 / SB 5499) has been designated as “Necessary to Implement the Budget,” meaning we’re exempt from committee deadlines. Some legislators don’t know this. If you hear that the Solar Jobs Bill has ended, share the good news right away: The Solar Jobs Bill is alive and stronger than ever, and your legislators still have the chance to Keep WA Solar Strong.
